The touchscreen is increasingly intermittently unresponsive. Running 12.2 OS. Please help! Just writing this was a problem. I had to hit some letters and numbers several times. It’s hard to get work done. Again any help is appreciated.

This iPad has never been dropped or mistreated in any way. This problem has been gradually getting worse for at least a month. It has not been subject to physical trauma, ever.
