Boot Camp: Windows support software could not be saved

I have recently attempted to use Boot Camp to partition my 2015 Macbook Pro and install Windows 10. However, I keep coming across this error whereby the "Windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive" due to having "not enough space on the disk" I have searched for solutions and attempted some of them including turning off automatic backup on Time Machine and disabling "Optimise Mac Storage" on iCloud Drive.

I have set aside 80GB for the Windows partition (more than the required 60GB). I hope someone might be able to help me with this problem.

Start up your Mac in single-user mode or verbose mode - Apple Support and run

fsck_apfs -s -o -y /dev/rdisk1

If you get any errors, see the footnote under step 6. You may need to use Command+S to enter into Single-User Mode.

Click on Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal, copy the following line

sudo fsck_apfs -n -l /dev/rdisk1

and paste it in the Terminal window and press return. You will be prompted for your password. Select the output and post it as a reply to this discussion. You can also the Text icon at the bottom of your Reply box to paste the output.
