Dear Lyssa! Thank you for your reply. I did as you said, but the official retailer refused to repair, referring to the fact that Apple does not consider such a defect as such that it is subject to satisfaction, that is, if I understood correctly, then the presence on the iPhone 8 display of the oleophobic coating is optional and is not required. This is true?
Interesting. Do you not have Apple in your location? Does the retailer handle your Apple Warranty questions? I'm sure if a new device was missing something, Apple would handle that. I would use the Contact Support at the top of the page here and ask Apple that question.
The phone has a one-year warranty. Make an appointment at an Apple store and bring it in for service.
