Compound clips not matching what's exported/played in main project

Weird things happening today with compound clips. In the video below, I show how what is playing inside a compound clip is different than what the compound clip looks like when it is played on its own. Please watch the below video and let me know if you have encountered this and if there is something I am doing incorrectly or if this is a potential bug.

Basically what I am experiencing are compound clips that play fast with moving elements showing up as timed differently than what is in the compound clip. It will be easier to explain by watching the above.

Currently working with FCPX 10.4.6

Thank you!

Thanks Tom,

  • All Compound clips show as 1920x1080@23.98
  • Project settings 3840x2160@23.98
  • Everything was created in FCPX (effects/adjustments include slide transition, draw mask, and drop shadow, crop, and transform)

And SOAB! I noticed that my project was 4k so I tested by putting the compound clip into a new 1080p sequence. The effects and timing seem to be properly represented.

But why would this issue manifest in 4k sequences? Are 1080 compound clips not allowed to be used in sequences of different sizes?

Please let me know if there are additional details I can provide that will help you help me :-)
