After updating Adobe, adware for virus removal was installed and I cannot seem to get rid of it. This involves 2 new icons on my dock, one called "tab Guides"and the other called "Mac Cleanup Pro". Both have annoying popups at all times with sound. I need to get rid of this before I go nuts. What's the solution? Trying to drag the icons into the trash does not work - they won't move.

If in doubt, with an adobe update—always go to their website for the update; don't trust a random popup.

If it is the Flash app you can open >System Preferences>Flash and from here you can check for an update.

Unfortunately you were tricked with a fake Adobe popup and authorized the install of adware / unwanted software.
Download Malware bytes and do a scan to remove it for free. After you remove what it finds restart your Mac and scan again to make sure it's clean.
