Apple notes disappear then reappear on Mac

Notes are saved on a secondary Apple account set as an internet account in system preferences. I have several folders of notes here and all are affected. Several devices have access these notes (Macs and IOS devices).

The problem was very occasion in the past, but in the past few days it happens every time I update a note. We have the same problem on a new iMac running the same version of Mac OS. However, this is not an issue when accessing the notes on iPad or iPhone.

You can try signing out of icloud and back in again to re-establish sync

>System Preferences>iCloud> Sign out
