Safari security preferences?
my security tab says "safe browsing service is unavailable" and that it has not been updated in 111 days.
I checked for OS updates but none were needed. How do I update safe browsing?

Have you tried unchecking the box, quit/reopen Safari, and the check it again to see if you can force an update?
