iPhone dropping internet connection

My iPhone automatically finds my home WiFi connection when I am at home. I have put in the password so I should automatically connect. It worked fine for years. Now my phone has stopped automatically connecting to my home WiFi. I must repeatedly re-connect in order to have my phone run on my home internet service. It is a major pain. How do I keep my phone connected?
