how to check whats on my old time capsule with my macbook pro and the correct connection between both

If you are connected to the TC from the Mac.. you can mount the TC disk in Finder.. if it does not show in finder.. use top menu, Go and Connect to Server.. use the airport utility to discover the TC IP address and type that in as follows.


afp://10.0.1.1 (replace with your IP)

or in later OS

smb://10.0.1.1


Once mounted you can check the contents.
