Login error on Facebook app

but I’m facing this problem for a long time. Still the problem is not fixed. I reset network settings/ others settings but no changes were made.

I offloaded the app, deleted reinstalled it..

Please tell me if there is any other way how to clear Facebook all data from iPhone and iCloud backup!

Actually it is not Facebook. I have this exact same issue. I can sign into Facebook on my IMAC through safari or any other browser. I can sign into the Facebook APP on my Android phone but I can not sign into Facebook on my Iphone. I get the exact same error shown in the screenshots in this post when trying to sign into Facebook or Facebook Messenger. So it is an Iphone Problem. I know everyones answer is "Go ask Facebook" or "Restore your phone" The first one is a joke, have you ever tried contacting Facebook? As for restoring the phone sure ok but that is a huge pain in the *** when you have 12,000 songs on the phone.

I’ve tried everything humanly possible to reset my phone, download new updates, delete all settings, log in from different device, remove all devices, change passwords, cell phones, laptops, apps deleted, network settings of every kind and I still get the same log in error please try again later. Nobody from apple has returned any of my messages for 2 months. Facebook gives me the generic “ try these trouble shoot techniques” which do not work or even apply to my iPhonex. I’ve tried google, YouTube tutorials, gone through my IT people at work and still can’t log in. Eve with a brand new iPhonex it says the same log in error. I’ve given up. I can’t even create a new Facebook account without that saying the same error.

Does facebook just have it out for me?

Same with instagram, messenger, Snapchat I can’t log in to these apps without the same error popping up.

The problem on June 28 was a facebook outage. There appears to be another one today.

When you have a sudden problem with any online service (or cellular service) it's a good idea to check https://downdetector.com first.

Be that as it may... doesn't alter the reality that login errors belong to Facebook. That you are getting a server error proves that your Apple device is being rejected in some way by Facebook. The phone is able to "talk" to Facebook.

Reinstalling the app isolates the issue to Facebook. If the app did not launch, that would be Apple's issue to resolve.

That means that there is corrupt Facebook data in your backup. One option is to set up your phone as new, and add apps back one at a time. Another possibility that might work is to delete the apps that don't work, make a new backup, restore that new backup, then add those apps back. You won't lose any data from the apps because all of the data comes from the Facebook servers.

exact same thing here bro I feel ya. Facebook deleted my account for no reason. all I ever did was watch videos. rarely ever post anything. I created a new account but now I get the error for Facebook, Messenger and Instagram but its only on my Iphone My Android phone logs in no problem. But my Original Facebook account is just Gone!

I’m having this issue as well I can’t log in or create a new Facebook on my iphone6s however I can log into it fine on the web and on other devices.

I have the same problem. I really thought no one else had it. I searched for days on the internet to help, I couldn’t find anything saying this exact message till now. I have tried everything. I’m on an iPhone 7, I can log in on browser or any-other phone. Can not log into Facebook or messenger. It’s Incredibly irritating and I just want my fucking Facebook app back.

I’ve had this issue since the 26th of July. I deactivated my Facebook account for some reason and then deleted the app. On the 26th I tried reinstalling the app from the App Store as per usual & since then it says the same thing both on my Facebook and Messenger

YET AGAIN, this is a Facebook problem. You need to work it out with Facebook. The app is a Facebook app, not an Apple app. Apple has no control over the Facebook app.

There are some suggestions in the thread you posted to. Please try them.
