i want to seperate 2 iphones from the one itunes account

my wife and i both have iphones on the same itunes account. we now want to seperate the 2 phones as it is creating problems on her new i phone. both phones have different info and photos. i want to create a new itunes account for my phone without losing info and pics

I believe you mean Apple ID as opposed to iTunes account.


Vic's advice is about an iTunes music library, which is not what you are having issues with.


Sharing an Apple ID is not advised. You will not lose info or photos, but those remaining with the current Apple ID are not readily accessible to the new Apple ID you will create. Family Sharing will allow sharing of most content including purchases.

Yes. You can think of different iTunes library as 2 different computers with everything separated.


Just be careful not to sync the pictures with another program like Photos : this program will sync both iPhones with the same library, instead of keeping the pictures them separated.

However, if you use Photos, you can also create a new Photos library the same way as with iTunes.
