Apple Music - billed and didn’t get three months free

I subscribed to Apple Music last night and today I have received an email stating that I have been billed the £9.99 from my account. I thought I got three months free?

New subscribers get the trial period. If you subscribed at some point before, then that trial period is not available for you.


You payment method may be tested for automatic online payments, to see if it can be used for subscriptions at all. It is not a regular charge. If it clears, then the authorization hold will be undone or reversed. About payment card authorization holds from the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support
