Goggle image search seems to be broken in Safari

From time to time, I only get a few images loading for a Google image search. The rest are just blank thumbnails with question marks.

I thought the solution was to empty caches in the develop menu, but that doesn't seem to have fixed it.

I've deleted all my cookies, restarted the browser & restarted the whole MacBook Pro.

The image search works fine in Firefox, so I'm assuming it's nothing to do with my router or network.

I've attached a screenshot to show what I'm seeing.

Thanks.

Do you have any anti-virus programs installed?

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items.  Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History…. The down side is it clears all cookies. Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site. Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db and move it to the trash.

Go to Safari Preferences/Extensions and turn all extensions off. Quit/reopen Safari and test. If okay, turn the extensions on one by one until you figure out what extension is causing the problem.

And now, two image searches in, it's back the way it was.

I just want to reiterate that this is NOT a problem with images not loading on sites.

All the sites I regularly visit, eBay, Amazon, Discogs, etc. as well as any other pages that appear in a web search, are completely normal.

But as soon as I press the "images" tab at the top, that's where the images are missing.
