Cant add songs to my Library

When I try to add a song to my itunes library from apple music, I get a white box with the circle in the middle and then a warning telling me that the song I was trying to add was cancelled. How can I fix this? I have looked through all my settings and I can't find anyway to fix it. I assume the white box is suppose to be getting me to do something but it never actually opens to anything so I can't do what it wants me to. Any help would be appreciated...thanks

I finally fixed this issue. I do not have iOS/macOS device. Windows 8.1. x64. Region: Japan.


1) Activate an option "Add songs to your Library when you add them to playlists".

2) Choose a song that is not in your Library.

3) Choose an option "Add to Playlist". You can add a song to any of your playlists or create a new playlist.

4) The chosen song will be added to a Library.

5) Choose another song that is not in your Library.

6) Choose an option "Add to Library".

7) 'Terms & Conditions' will appear and you will be able to accept them.

It would be good for Apple to fix this, but they don't seem to understand Windows or care.


Try this (it worked for me just now):


Make sure that box is closed first.


From Itunes menu, Edit > Preferences

Click on Green Store icon in the top row

Change password settings to Purchases: Never Require (you will probably get one password prompt immediately)
