Email from Apple re suspicious transaction

Hi there,

I would need your urgent help, I received an email from Apple to confirm if I made a specific purchase or not. But no information given how to do it. I want to cancel the order because it was not done by me but I cannot find any option in my Apple profile.

What am I supposed to do. In the email it says I have 24 hours to cancel otherwise my card will be charged. Could you please help? Here it is the email..

Dear Sir/Madam,

We notify you of some one has been login a new device for a using your account.

that someone has used yourApp Store account for suspicious Transactions,

Transactions details :

Date : Monday, May 20, 2019

Order number : ****

Status : in-Processing

Payment : CreditCard

Order Total : $ 66.06


What to do next ?

We recommended you to open our attached message (PDF) for Report Current

Transactions, You have 24 hours to cancel the order, We will not accept the

cancellation of your order if it passes the specified time limit.

It is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message, as an attachment to Apple.

Apple will always address you by your name or the name they have on file for you, not Dear Customer, Dear Client or by using your e-mail address.  The e-mail will be from @apple.com or @iTunes.com. E-mail addresses can be spoofed. You can go to Mail/View/Message/Show all Headers to see more. Apple e-mails will never contain an attachment. Apple will never request personal information such as Social Security numbers.


The only exception to the above I have noticed is if you order something from the Apple Store (apple.com), your receipt will be addressed to Dear Apple Customer. That is a receipt for a purchase you initiated.
