iPhone replacement battery warranty

I paid to have the battery of my iPhone 6s replaced at the end of last year at an Apple Store.

I always plug my phone in when I do video or GPS, and I never leave my phone in a hot car, yet my "new" battery has deteriorated so much that I need to charge the battery several times a day, and it has unexpectedly shut down at least twice. My old battery was two years old and performing better than this before I had it replaced.

I called Apple support, and they tell me that, indeed, diagnostics indicate that the battery needs to be replaced. It has only been about 4 months since I paid for a battery replacement.

Apple Support made an appointment to have my battery replaced at an Apple Store. I asked them if the battery will be replaced without a charge to me, and they tell me that they cannot say - that is up to the Apple Store. Needless to say, I am not happy about that.

I have searched, and I cannot see posted anywhere what the Apple warranty is for a replacement battery.

Does anyone know?

If a new iPhone comes with a 1 year warranty, shouldn't a new battery come with a similar warranty?

Apple repairs and battery replacements have a 90 day warranty. But depending on what country you live in you may have additional coverage.

They cant guarantee over the phone if it will be covered as they can’t physically see and inspect your iPhone. The technician needs to test the iPhone, open it up and inspect it and then they give the coverage options or cost.

Thats just their process. I know you want to be guaranteed the battery to be covered before you go in for the appointment, but they have no way of knowing what the condition the iPhone is in until it’s in the technicians hands.

Ditto with me. I replaced the battery of my iPhone6 last October. From this week, suddenly the battery became weird. Full charge can not ensure even couple of hours operation. The phone is shutting down innumerable times throughout the day, even when the display showing 90% charge remaining. To restart, I need to put the phone into charging all the way.

In fact, this new battery is behaving much worse than the old original battery which I replaced after more than 2 years of operation.

It's really frustrating.
