iPhone 6s stopped displaying when a new message is received
My wife’s phone just stopped showing new messages on the main screen. I have updated software and rebooted the device.
not sure what to do from here.

check notification settings from the Settings app.
If nothing helps, try resetting all settings. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
