Iphone won't recognize headphones, and speaker won't work when making calls

Hello everyone. When I plug in my headphones, my iPhone will not recognize them and plays the music out loud. I have also noticed that when making calls, my speaker function will not work. I am not able to hear the other person on the line and they cannot hear me either.

I have tried turning my phone on and off, resetting network settings, or resetting all settings, which will sometimes fix the problem. However, the all these issues will return shortly after.

Sometimes, the call function on my phone will work just fine, but the headphones won't get recognized.

Any ideas?
