iPhone Mail CAN'T Send Out Email with new SIM card

Hi all.

I just changed to a new telco/mobile service provider. Using mobile data, no issues with using apps like Safari, Facebook etc. I can send out emails with my Gmail account (using Mail app) and company email (using Outlook app)

EXCEPT My very own iCloud email account. Cannot send out email, will get this message after attempting to send for a while. (see pic)

Wifi wise no issues sending out emails.

So I "suspect" has something to with the new SIM card new provider.

Any idea where I can start to fix this?

Many thanks.

A step by step guide to add email account on iPad and iPhone

This process is valid for all mails, AOL, Google, Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, Exchange etc etc

  1. Keep your email id and password handy
  2. Use this link to find out your Incoming and Outgoing server settings by entering your email address

https://support.apple.com/mail-settings-lookup

If it is not available in the link above contact your email client

iCloud Account IMAP and SMTP

May 22, 2019 11:37 PM in response to SravanKrA

Hello SravanKrA,

Thanks for replying.

The Mail sending out was perfectly fine before I swap the new SIM. And for iCloud email setting seemed to be set and configure once you sign in the Apple ID. I went into the SMTP settings and can't seem to change and customise anything. As I said before, using WiFi, I can send email. Only doesn't work when I switch to 4G mobile data.

Here's some snapshots of the SMTP settings of my iCloud Mail, thanks.

Outgoing Server address p35-smtp.mail.me.com is incorrect. For correct address detail refer below

Mail server settings

Refer to your email app's documentation for information about how to use these settings. iCloud Mail uses the IMAP and SMTP standards supported by most modern email apps. iCloud does not support POP. If you set up an account using iCloud System Preferences or macOS Mail in 10.7.4 or later, you won't see these settings because they're automatically configured.

IMAP information for the incoming mail server

  • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
  • If you see an error message when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
  • Port: 993
  • Username: This is usually the name part of your iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not emilyparker@icloud.com). If your email client can't connect to iCloud using just the name part of your iCloud email address, try using the full address.
  • Password: Generate an app-specific password.

SMTP information for the outgoing mail server

  • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
  • If you see an error message when using SSL, try using TLS or STARTTLS instead.
  • Port: 587
  • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
  • Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker@icloud.com, not emilyparker)
  • Password: Use the app-specific password that you generated when you set up the incoming mail server.
