Is this a new deal? It isn’t listed yet on this support page:

About bundling Apple Music through mobile phone service providers - Apple Support

➔ Be sure to link your mobile account to your Apple ID.

  • Open the Music app, then tap For You. When asked to confirm your Apple ID, tap Continue to log in with the Apple ID displayed on the screen. If you want to link a different Apple ID, tap "Want to use a different Apple ID?" and sign in.
  • You can also go to https://applemusic.com/carrier on your mobile device to verify your subscription and link your Apple ID.

If you had an Apple Music subscription before, through Apple directly, then you may need to cancel that manually, as these subscriptions through different resellers may not be aware of each other.
