why do some apps not provide sound notification?
Using a banking app but the sound notification is not an option. Re-downloaded app but option still not available. Any idea?

Because the developer of the app chose not to include sounds with notifications. Each app developer controls what their app does and Apple has no access to their code or servers. If you'd like to suggest an alert tone for your banking app, reach out to the bank and let them know.
