The person on the other end of the call can’t hear me but i can hear them and i don’t know what to do

When on a FaceTime call, everyone can hear me, but I’m unable to hear them. I had no problems hearing up until a month ago. When I make or receive a FaceTime call, the other party hears me but I can’t hear them.
