Ive done a few hours searching but I'm not able to find a weather app such as weather bug that works on iOS 5. There is a weather bug IPA file version 1.6 but I don't have it.
Does anyone know of weather app currently downloadable on the iTunes Store. I know about white door and gray door but I don't want to go that route.
Note the subject selector wouldn't let me select my iPad one for this Apple forum posting subject.

At this point there is virtually NO support for iOS 5. I know what you want. It's highly unlikely you'll find anything that you can download for such an ancient, out of date, no longer supported iOS. You had a great run, but if you need these apps, you need a newer iPad. No one here can do much, if anything to help you.

Sadly I am reconfirming that conclusion which I've reached anyway about three or four years ago. I recently had reason to have 24 hour monitoring of northern Alberta fire conditions and I was hoping to set it up to run automatically.

Even I missed the point in your OP that you have iPad 1st generation, so of course you're stuck on iOS 5.1.1.
Your iPad is nearing 10 years old. Nice as it might still be, it's beyond ancient at this point. Perhaps you got your money's worth and it's time for a more modern iPad?
Thanks. I hadn't checked those two. However they require iOS 9. I've only got iOS 5 latest.
Classic Weather might work for you. Under specs it just says requires iOS 9 or later.

P.S. I just did a web search for “weather app for iOS 9” and checked the first three App Store links I got and found those two, so there are likely more.
thank you. Your recommendation is for iOS 9. I'm wanting to find apps for iOS 5. Particularly weather and fire maps.
Finding a browser app that works on iOS 5 has also been difficult. Some of the online web based weather reporting systems don't work perhaps due to flash or some other limitation that the iPad one doesn't work well with.
I want to have a weather app such as weather bug which shows a map giving a variety of selectable local climate conditions, radar, precipitation, world satellite, etc. I do run this on my newer iPads but I want to leave the older one running all the time. Weather bug IPA the 1.6 may be able to do that but I have IPA starting from v2 for weather bug.
Finding a place to download old IPA files would be good to .
I'm running iTunes 12.6.5 so I have some control over my IPA files. In fact that's the only reason why I don't upgrade to later versions of OS X.
I have spent many hours searching the Internet and trying a lot of weather apps which my iPad one says are not compatible. AccuWeather is the only one that works but it doesn't have an auto update features so it's not useful to mount on the wall of the kitchen to show daily conditions at a glance.
I do appreciate the help on this forum and in these later years only post a question if I'm not able to find an answer specific to what I'm looking for. All the advice and suggestions come in are very helpful though and it's been a great learning exercise. I'm becoming an expert with the iPad one :-) I have two of them. I'm running to TwoMonUSB very successfully with the iPad one. It's a great little external display app.
