Macbook 2006 Recovery

hello i have a macbook from 2006 and the cd drive is broken is there any way i can restore mac os x to factory defaults?

Get an external usb Player. Then you'll need the install discs that originally shipped with your Mac. If you have them use install disk 1 and boot holding the c key.

If not purchase Mac OS Snow Leopard and install that.
