Formatting my mac guidance

Can you guide me for formatting my mac ?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.12

  1. Make sure your Mac is turned off.
  2. Press the power button.
  3. Immediately hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys.
  4. Wait until the Apple logo appears.
  5. Select “Disk Utility” from the OS X Utilities list.
  6. Select the disk (Macintosh HD) to erase by clicking on it in the sidebar.
  7. Click the Erase button.


You can then close Disk Utility and select "Reinstall macOS".
