What does the warranty cover under rapair?

My warranty is still valid and my screen is cracked. Apple shop is telling me that the warranty does not include this damage and i have to pay the same amount (380$) to change the SCREEN like anyone without a warranty. Can you please confirm?

Any physical damage is NOT covered by the one year limited warranty. That warranty only covers manufacturing defects. A cracked screen is not a manufacturing defect.

If you have purchased the AppleCare+ agreement, that would cover physical damage.
