Macbook pro software update problem

Trying to download update MacOS 10.14.5 to my 13", early 2015 MacBook Pro Retina...

In multiple attempts, the download proceeds to "334.6MB of 2.48GB" and then stops.

I've backed out, tried again, rebooted, tried again, completely shut down and tried again with the download freezing at the same spot. Suggestions welcome.
