Everything is fine until I get to the wrist preference screen where I
get a prompt that says "Pairing Failed - Your iPhone couldn't maintain a
wireless connection. YOu may be connected to an unreliable network , or
you may need to move closer to your Wi-Fi router.

Have tried all the options available on the internet, restart, reset, different wifi, different phones, finally, watch connects to other phones but mine, did a complete phone factory settings reset. Still same..
"Gotto check directly at an apple store" was the reply from the online Apple support chat.
If it connects to other phones... that could suggest there is a problem in your phone. Genius Bar, as recommended.
There is not much we can suggest except fix your WiFi, or try a different WiFi. (When you get to the office after the weekend?)
