Of course I did, 549$ for the repair+1000 the cost of the phone it’s 1549$ and + taxes, in the description of the iPhone xs it says the is resistant to water 2 meter, of water splashes and dust, it’s not even resistant to rain, the description of the iPhone is not even close to all of its description...I have the phone for 5 months which it didn’t resist to any of the above which means the sold a defective product, at the apple store they told its water damage, they didn’t even look at the phone to confirm that.
Make an appointment at an Apple store for service. The phone will likely need to be replaced to address the issue.
Water damage is not covered by warranty so you will have to pay.
