wWhat to do in case of laptop exchange at the airport during security. Can I find my mac on the cloud? I took a macbook air that looked just like mine, I would like to find the owner and get mine back...

The airport security there, may have heard from the other party who has your macbook.
Hard to say here; but they may have ideas. A supervisor or one in authority could help.
PS: to use Find My Mac (etc) you have to have that enabled prior to loss.
So if you had not turned it on, that's essential to locating the product.
No body else can do that.
