Proven solution for Bing search hijacking?

With so many people having this same issue with their Safari home page being hijacked for a Bing search page, and MalwareBytes showing up clean, is there a good-proven solution for the current iteration of this issue?

All of the random 3rd-party removal pages seem quite mediocre at best... like throwing everything at the wall and hoping something sticks.

Launchdaemon? Malicious Profile? Hijacked proxy setting? I've not seen any evidence as to a concrete cause of this very active issue.

I'm hoping someone with first-hand experience at removing this in the past few weeks, specifically, can shed some light on the subject.
