I'm not sure I quite understand what you are trying to do. If you click where the top arrow is pointing, that should expose the sidebar. Clicking on the glasses selects the Reading list. You can delete the items from there. If that isn't your question, more information would help.
I was told click on icloud. The only two icons - are bookmarks and glasses. When the glasses which is Reading List are clicked on it automatically goes to the web. So I didn’t authorize reading list and don’t want in my Mack. By the way the old sidebar had three icons @ was on it which is not on this update

When Glasses ore clicked on it goes to the web page there No choices with right click. How to deleate?
Where are you accessing your email and what does iCloud have to do with it?
You don't need to click on iCloud. If you open Safari on your Mac, can you access the reading list by clicking the places indicted by the arrows? Can you delete the reading list there?
