Standing not registering after watchOS 5.2.1 upgrade

My Apple Watch series 3 registered standing perfectly fine until Saturday night after the os was updated to 5.2.1. I’ve tried all the support suggestions: a hard restart, restarting both the phone and watch, unpairing and pairing the watch again. Nothing has worked. I knew I should have waited to update, which I normally do.

Apple Watch stuck on basics after update Gen 3 watch. Watch iOS is 7.5. Phone iOS is 14.6. I didn't have any issues with my watch until I had to update the software after installing Spotify (to use offline). So I updated the software and now it is stuck on the basics screen. I have used the reboot feature and power off, but it comes back to the basics screen. I have also paired it several times. At this point I may return the watch to the seller (got it off eBay). I have read some other suggestions, but none seem to work. Randomly it will look to pair and then say it's not paired, but I've paired it several times. Thinking maybe just keeping it next to my phone for a day may help. Thoughts?

10 update is buggy Updated Apple Watch to 10.. it will not switch faces.. lost pairing to phone. I restarted both devices and the watch reset itself. Seems buggy and slow to respond. What’s wrong?

Apple watch series 3 is not pairing with my iphone 11 with os 16. The watch is not turning on until the software is updated. Also it is stuck at preparing while updating My apple watch series 3has stopped working as it is not being updated…its not pairing with my iphone 11 with os 16. And that is why i am not able to open settings in my watch app…it is saying i must update my watch if i want to use it. Otherwise exit setup. I have tried n number of time but no result

There is nothing wrong with the operating system. You have a problem with your watch. You might want to wipe it clean and start all over again.

What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Apple Watch, or buy one from someone else - Apple Support

Don't load the backup. It will be a minor PIA reconfiguring the watch but the data is safe (it's duplicated in the iPhone).
