iCloud sub-directory shortcut in Finder not updating

Hi. A couple of months ago I pinned an iCloud sub-directory to my Finder side bar for easy access. However, I've just noticed that all the files I've added since adding the shortcut are not being updated or saved to my iCloud drive. I can view the files when clicking the short cut but if I navigate to the same folder from iCloud the new files don't appear. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
