About a week agos I upgraded to Mojave 10.14.5. Now in Photos my searches turn up no results. I can see right there a picture which I titled "Edinburgh." But when I type "Edinburgh" into the search box I get results of 0.
I use iCloud to sync my photos across all my devices.
The search function used to work flawlessly for me. Any ideas out there?

Try using a smart album with the following criteria: Text includes Edinburgh
What I've found is that when I search the results are names of albums. What I want is to search the title which I've assigned each photo. This is easily done on my iPhone. How can I do the same in Photos?
Ha! That works. It seems needlessly clunky and makes me wonder what the "Search" box is for, but at least I can now search by filename.
