Hi there, setting up a master iTunes library with a large catalogue of ripped vinyl music and would like some help on best way to share this amongst other users?
I have a network drive with the music stored, single iMac and 3 different users.
Any help greatly appreciated
What connection method are you using for the network drive? iTunes might be particular. I'd personally go for a locally connected external drive, and use the network drive for backup.

You can connect different user profiles to the same common library by holding down option as you launch iTunes and using the choose option. That said, see Authorization vs. association - Apple Community for a complication if each of you has your own Apple ID.

Ok thanks, I was on the right track.
I have started with a clean slate and did the option hold and then open itunes, ticked the right boxes in settings.
Unfortunately when I drag any music file in the library it attempts to copy but gives me an error -39 and then does nothing
