FCPX won't finish loading from external drive

I have an FCPX project set up on an external hard drive and am cutting on an iMac Pro. For some reason, all of a sudden the project loads up all the way until the end, right before I can begin using it and then it just hangs there saying it is loading the project into the Timeline. It never finishes loading.

I have a mirrored back up on another external drive which will load fine.

I have deleted the preferences and reset the Pram.

Since I can't get into the Library to delete the render files, what else can I do to get it to finish loading.
