"This song is not currently available in your country or region" for music ripped from CD

I do not now nor have I ever used any Apple services for music. I am recently getting a few grayed out songs on my iPhone 7 with no error in PC iTunes other than it trying to copy these songs every time I sync. When I try to play them on my iPhone, I get the error message, "This song is not currently available in your country or region." The thing is, these are songs I ripped from CD myself. They play fine on my PC. Any ideas?
