pop up requests me to provide password for marathon.mediasite.com

Every so often I see this pop up saying I need to sign in to marathon.mediasite.com in order to listen to a pod cast. But I am not even trying to listen to a podcast, and when i try to go to the marathon website i get notice that it does not exist, or that it is dangerous. How can i get rid of this pop up? thx

It's malware or adware. Download and run Malwarebytes and check to see what it finds.
