iphone messaging

I select a contact then select message and it shows the correct phone number to message to, then when I choose it it always picks the same contact to message to ( someone else ) I tried deleting both and adding them and it keeps mixing up the same two like they are married. they do not have anything in common.

anyone ?

Open one of the Contacts in Contact App

Scroll Down to the Bottom

Linked Contact Section

Edit what is incorrect

What happens, if, instead of starting in Contacts, you start in Messages?
