I need a suggestion. I'm trying to upgrade my mac mini late 2012 with 2.3ghz processor on 4gb ram. I'm willing to go for 16 or 32gb DDR4. can this mac mini support DDR4 or no? please help me out.

16GB max and your best bet, is to order the correct spec'ed 1600MHz DDR3L SO-DIMM PC12800 204 Pin modules directly from either OWC macsales or Crucial.

so, this won't support DDR4 right?
FYI: the correct abbreviations: Gigabyte is GB, not gb. g=grams, or the acceleration of gravity, b=bit, and Gigahertz is GHz.
