I'm getting an new iPhone! And I want to know that how many years is the iPhone 8 going to get Updates? I used iPhone 5s (it was running iOS 11.1) nearly for 4 months (at first it was my dad's iPhone) but it had a Problem that it suddenly shut's down by itself!!! So i bought a new Phone! But I'm thinking now to get back to iPhone. And i read that the iPhone 8 going to get 5 years Update! Is that true? But is it worth it to buy iPhone 8 in 2019?

Right now no one knows what OS will be on the iPhone next week, not to mind in 5 years time. So, wait and see...

They have no published policy about how long either iOS nor MacOS will be supported on any given device’s hardware.
My crystal ball can’t see so far into the future. We have no idea what will release in iOS 13, and even Apple will not know how as-yet unreleased technology developments will impact product soo far in the future.
It might be more appropriate to ask yourself whether you will be able to resist the temptation to upgrade again before iOS 16, which would make your question totally irrelevant.
