iPad 6 giving error code 9 on restore

Hi,

My iPad 6 got stuck at Apple logo suddenly, I suspect it tried to upgrade to latest iOS. I tried to restore it in DFU mode. It was detected by iTunes and iTunes downloaded latest iOS. Extracted software, Verified upgrade from apple and then started verifying upgrade on iPad. I could see Apple logo with a progress line under it. Then something went wrong, restore exited with error code 9.

I've replaced cable, used latest iTunes, changed USB ports, tried both MacBooks and Windows machines. But it is not working. Please help me.

Please note that I've upgraded my iPhone 7 on same network.

Hello Malik1983,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand you're getting error 9 when trying to restore your iPad. You've done a lot of great steps already.

Just in case, make sure you force restart the iPad before starting the restore or update process in iTunes. If there are any steps you haven't tried here, be sure to do so: If you see error 9, 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you restore your iOS device - Apple Support

If you're still having issues, it might be related to hardware. Check out the service options here: iPad Repair - Official Apple Support

Thanks and have a great day.
