Slideshow on an iPad Pro
I want to use the Vintage Theme on my slideshow but it is not showing as an option. It is an option on a MacBook. How can I get it on my iPad? This is very frustrating!
iPad Pro, iOS 12

Now I’m totally confused.

Maybe it’s not called iPhoto any more, but it’s where photos are saved and albums can be created. Once in the album, there’s a “slideshow” options. It has several transitions, just not the Vintage Theme. You can use your own songs. My frustration began because the Vintage Theme isn’t on the iPad Pro.
Apple often updates templates available in their apps between iOS versions. What may have been in an older version of an app may not be in a newer version.

After LACAllen’s comment, I should add that the Keynote version I am using, 5.0.2, is the current version and was released by Apple about three weeks ago.
UPDATE- Sorry, I should have addressed this remark to the Original Poster.
I never thought about Keynote! I looked at it and I did find the Vintage theme! However, this app doesn’t let you use your songs from iTunes! It only has a voice record option! So.....any other suggestions? Is it possible to create the photo slide show in Keynote and export or save it in iPhoto’s as a quick time movie. Then, add my song(s) in iPhoto to the keynote movie?
I dont understand why this has to be so difficult!
I appreciate your time and trying to help! I’m so close....yet, so far.....
I FOUND how to add my own songs in the Keynote app! It’s such a time consuming project because I have 200+ pics for a wedding slideshow! Building each page is a beat down! Prob going back to do slideshow in iPhoto and not use the Vintage Theme.
“iPhoto”? It never would have occurred to me that iPhoto was involved. Apple discontinued iPhoto for the Mac in April, 2015!
You spoke of a slideshow on both your Mac and iPad, so naturally I assumed you were using Keynote on both. If you’re actually using a photo manager product on your Mac, then Photos would certainly be more appropriate than the antiquated iPhoto.
Sorry for any confusion... I found the Vintage Theme option on my older MacBook, but other issues were a factor because it is my son’s laptop and my itune songs are not on his iTunes.
I wanted to download or update my iPhoto thinking maybe the Vintage Theme has been added to the choices, but I have not found an answer.
I guess i will just have to use one of the choices on my iPhoto that is on my newer iPad Pro. I’m frustrated because I assumed that everything that can be done on a laptop can be done on the newer iPad Pro! Now I realize that’s not true!
I've made a lot of slideshows and movies and I would always prefer to use my laptop or iMac for these (rather than my iPad). A computer - in my opinion - works better if you want a lot of choices (such as themes, transitions, chapters, etc) and, depending on the method you want to use to produce/distribute your video, may be easier on a computer as well.
I'd definitely suggest following Michel's suggestion to check out third party apps with more creative choices. Remember though: your iPad iOS is NOT Mac OS, it is a simplified version and things that may work on one device may not on the other.
Vintage theme does appear in my iOS Keynote (version 5.0.2). This is from my iPhone (I removed some colors to reduce the pixel density.):
Pretty much anything that can be done on a laptop can be done on a newer iPad.
It just may be done using a different method than the older method employed on the laptop.
There are, also, slideshow apps in the iOS App Store to create slideshows on iOS devices.
