Can't log in to iTunes on MacBook Air

I have a MacBook Air 2017 running High Sierra and each time I try to run iTunes it tells me that the file iTunes Library.itl was created by a newer version of iTunes. I have updated everything that comes up and still cannot get in.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.13

Hi there, Fluff16!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are seeing an error message about your iTunes library not being read due to being created by a newer version of iTunes. I recommend checking out this article with steps to take If you don't see your entire library after you update iTunes on your Mac or PC. This article will give you steps you can take to rebuild your iTuners library.

Let me know the results and have a wonderful day!
