MLB.tv app shuts off repeatedly on Apple TV 4K

I purchased the Apple TV 4K less than two weeks ago. It replaced a 3rd-gen Apple TV because the MLB app was no long working because the device is long out of date. Now, while watching a game, the MLB app it will shut off unexpectedly and repeatedly. It's really annoying and frustrating. I've already deleted the app and reinstalled. Why is this happening?
