I was helping a friend with her iPhone 6 Plus yesterday. While it does need a new battery, there is also a severe slow-down problem. For example, if you take a photo, it can take like 20-30 seconds to open up Photos and see it in the camera roll.
She's running the latest iOS. And we tried restarting. She's only using 70 GB out of 128 GB of storage.
Anything else we can try short of a complete re-install?

Get the battery replaced. I know of a handful of people that noticed their phones performed better afterwards.
If she's planning to get a new phone, I'd say she should just live with the slowness in that case.
Is switching between apps slow also?

My 5s is feeling its age too - iOS 12 was really great for it.
If she has a lot of photos on her phone, that could be part of why the photos app is slow; I know I saw that behavior on my 5s with the photos app and with Messages if it's got a lot of messages.

I seriously doubt that battery health percentage is anywhere near accurate unless she has replaced her battery. It is another sign that the battery is failing and I'm pretty sure the system has throttled it.
I finally had a chance to see her phone again today. Her battery health is 95%. That's higher than the 93% on my iPhone X!
The battery panel shows that 52% of battery is being used on Twitter. While that's a lot (she's constantly getting notices) I'm using 36% on FaceBook and am not having any exceptional problems.
Anyway, just changing the battery will obviously not help. Not if the battery health number is correct.

Switching between apps is also slow. I'll tell her she might want to try that. But now that it's been announced that the 6 Plus can't be upgraded to iOS 13 she may be less inclined to do that.
