Siri unable to play individual songs on iPhone SE

I've been using iTunes on my iMac to sync music onto my 1st generation iPhone SE. For some weird reason, Siri refuses to play individual tracks, but will gladly play albums or artists. What gives?

The issue doesn't exist on any other devices, just my iPhone SE.

iOS version: 12.3.1

Model Name: iPhone SE

Model Number: MLM62VC/A

The iMac in question runs the latest version of macOS and iTunes.

UPDATE: Solved the issue.

Apple Support advised me to use the Reset All Settings option in Settings -> General -> Reset, but that didn't appear to work. What did work for me, though, was to reinstall iOS through iTunes. None of my data was lost.

I connected my iPhone to my Mac, then clicked on the iPhone icon in iTunes to view my iPhone.
I held down the Command key as I clicked on Check for Updates. This triggered iTunes to download and reinstall the latest version of iOS onto my iPhone.
When prompted to back up my iPhone, I did so. (Just in case iTunes decided to erase my iPhone)
Reinstallation went smoothly for me. Siri now plays individual songs again.
