Does the 2017 Macbook Pro Retina have a stereo audio line in port?

Is it possible to record stereo audio that is coming off of a device that has either a stereo headphone output jack or RCA stereo output jacks using Garageband or a similar app on my Macbook Pro is there a stereo line in port I can use?

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.13

But what if I want to record stereo from a non-microphone source, such as from a stereo set amplifier that is connected to a turntable? Holding a USB microphone in front of the stereo speakers to capture the audio isn't exactly the best fidelity and isn't stereo. However, the amplifier has several line out jacks (TRS mini stereo plug, RCA connections). Can any of those be fed into the Macbook Pro laptop, presumably via a USB-C port (though the laptop does also have a TRRS stereo mini plug jack)? And, if so, how?

And what if I directly connect the Macbook Pro laptop with the stereo amplifier using an adapter cable from the USB-C port to the RCA output jacks (or the headphone output port) on the amplifer? Normally that cable would be used for sending stereo audio from the laptop USB-C port to an external stereo device (like headphones or speakers) but will it also work in the reverse direction, i.e as an audio line in to the laptop? Or would that just cause laptop/cable problems?
