Airport Time Capsule Firmware update failure

updating firmware as instructed and got error message that install failed. amber light is on, not pulsing. pushed soft reset button for one second and nothing happens, amber light constant/unchanged. unplug, plug back in, amber light on and still not flashing.

Error -6742 while access apple airport time capsule Hi, i am trying to access my airport time capsule after long time. i updated its firmware and all. But it still gives me this error. I tried to hard reset it but still no luck. Please help me, just want to access some photos. it is connected to main router. i have uploaded the error screenshot below. firmware its running is 7.9.1

Yellow blinking light on Time Capsule. I have a yellow blinking light on our Time Capsule (router and backup). I have gone into the Airport Utility and did an update. It did "something" (in other words, it stopped blinking and then started again.) Anyway - it is not green yet. We are able to get on the internet, but some wifi services are not working. We know we need to get a new router soon, so we can stream tv services and get off of cable, but I was hoping to get this working in the meantime. I am on an old system on my computer (yes I will be getting a new computer soon). Anything you tell me to do to get the router working (green light)?

the response to unplug/replug was delayed - the light turned green a couple minutes later and all now seems to be in order. Current firmware is 7.9.1
